*Note: Futures PnL is a mark to market estimate

I’m finally stringing together a few good weeks in a row. My weekly picks had a nice week (Arizona, FIU and Ohio all covered by a lot) and so did my futures. I marked in around 7 units on UCLA and nearly marked in a lot more on Nebraska. Let’s keep the momentum rolling.

East Carolina @ UAB (Thursday, 6:30 PM Central)

I’m very intrigued by East Carolina. The Pirates made a QB swap and switched to former Miami QB Emory Williams two games ago, and their offense has been much improved since. UAB is one of the least resourced teams in the American and is at a huge talent disadvantage here. ECU should roll.

East Carolina -4.5 -110 (2 units)

Mississippi State @ LSU (Satuday, 11 AM Central)

LSU is under the radar after an OT loss at Kentucky. However, the Tigers are still 6th in the country in my power ratings. They own dominant wins over two mediocre teams (Clemson and Texas A&M) and two losses that came down to the last second. Mississippi State was a fun September story but I think water has found its level in Starkville.

LSU -10.5 -110 (1 unit)

Penn State @ Michigan (Saturday, 2:30 PM Central)

Michigan is better than people realize. They belong in the Iowa and Oklahoma tier of “offensively challenged, defensively excellent”. Penn State is worse than people realize- they are outside the top 40 in my model and have been the only team the USC defense good stop. They’re going to have a tough time doing anything against Michigan’s front seven.

Michigan -5.5 -120 (1 unit)
