Men’s Bracketology 3/11/2026

I’m not going to go so far as to call Virginia Tech and Stanford “dead”, but I would be quite surprised to see either team in the final bracket after their losses in the opening round of the ACC tournament. Santa Clara is the converse of that- I won’t call them a “lock” given the weird stuff we’ve seen the committee do with mid-majors in recent years, but I would be shocked if they don’t end up making the tournament.

Bubble action really gets going today with the 5 teams closest to the cut line (Auburn, SMU, Texas, Indiana, Cincinnati) all in action. With the way this year’s bubble has gone, they’ll probably end up going 0-5 today.
